At a young age of 18, Aaron Levie, Box CEO along with Dylan Smith launched the website from their dorm rooms in 2005. Since, then it has become a force to reckon with in the crowded online file sharing market. Box raised $81M earlier this year to grow it’s business.
How is Intel helping Box’s Enterprise customers?

Intel Expressway Cloud Access 360 (ECA360) solution helps both IT administrators and end-users.

For IT administrators, it brings

  • Control: Using ECA360, IT administrators can a) setup end-user authentication into Box using Enterprise’s Active Directory (accessed through ANY device), b) eliminate end-users from setting weak passwords into Box, c) establish “adaptive access control” triggering OTP based on conditions such as user, group, network, timeof the day, and many other contextual attributes.
  • Visibility: Administrators can get visibility around who has accounts in Box across the whole Enterprise, when they last accessed their account, from which devices, and many other reports.
  • Compliance: Enterprises get out-of-box audit reports and built-in 2-factor authentication to achieve regulatory compliance with SOX, PCI, HIPPA, GLBA, NERC CIP, etc.

For end-users, it brings

  • Desktop SSO convenience: End-users can sign-in once to their desktop, and access Box without entering credentials again. No additional password to remember. ECA360 brokers the access into Box by integrating with AD using Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) on one end and Box using SAML standard.
  • Multi-app SSO convenience: ECA360 provides a built-in SSO portal that acts as an application launchpad for launching applications the user has access to such as Salesforce, Google Apps, Webex, NetSuite, SugarCRM, EchoSign and many other applications.
  • Multi-app single logout: When the user is done with their work, they can simply sign-out from ECA360 SSO portal, and ECA360 further logs the user out from all active application sessions using single logout (SLO) feature.
